By on 8/06/2013

Tamil actor Arya, who has teamed up with popular southern actress Anushka Shetty in upcoming Tamil romantic-drama "Irandam Ulagam", says she is fit enough to do action sequences, and it doesn't even look artificial.

"Not all actresses can pull off action easily. One needs perfect stature for doing action sequences and I believe Anushka is fit for that. She is very much suitable for doing action scenes and, therefore, it doesn't look artificial," Arya told IANS.

Anushka has already indulged in sword-fighting and horse riding in Telugu fantasy-drama "Arundhati". She was especially lauded for her action skills in the film.

She is also preparing herself in special action skills for upcoming Telugu period-dramas "Rudhramadevi" and "Baahubali".

In "Irandam Ulagam" too, Anushka will be seen in an action avatar.

"She was amazing in the action sequences. Best of her action skills can be seen in some sword-fighting action sequences, while she has also performed somersault in a few scenes. I'm sure the audiences are going to love her performance," Arya added.

Directed by Selvaraghavan, "Irandam Ulagam" is a love story laced with fantasy and action set in two different worlds.

'Attarintiki Daaredhi' postponed due to political turmoil

By on 8/06/2013

Owing to the political climate in Andhra Pradesh, highly anticipated Pawan Kalyan-starrer Telugu family-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi", which was set to release Aug 9, has now been pushed to a further date, which will be announced soon.
"Due to the ongoing agitation over the Telangana issue, we have decided to postpone the film to a new date. We haven't zeroed in on the new release date yet. Once finalised, we will officially announce the release date," the film's spokesperson told IANS.
"Attarintiki Daaredhi" was set to lock horns with Vijay's Tamil action-drama "Thalaivaa" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" at the box-office, but now it's out of the race.
One of the reasons the film is reported to be postponed is because members of Samaikyandhra, people's movement group, threatened to boycott the film if released on Aug 9.
They were not happy with the way Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi dealt the process of formation of separate Telangana state and hence warned that they shall stall the releases of Chiranjeevi's family members' films.
Pawan Kalyan, who is playing the lead in it, is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi.
"Attarintiki Daaredhi" is directed by Trivikram and it also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Praneetha and Brahmanadam in important roles.

Vulgar Attacks On KCR In Seemandhra

By on 8/06/2013

Ever since the Congress-led UPA at the Centre announced its decision to form separate Telangana state by dividing Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has become a villain for Seemandhra people.
While there were attacks on the statues of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, besides burning of effigies of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for taking decision in favour of Telangana, the Seemandhra leaders have particularly made KCR as their prime target.
At several places, there were hoardings and posters putting up vulgar comments against the TRS president.
For example, in Tanuku town in West Godavari district, there was a poster put up by a local leader in which it was shown that a boy was pissing on the face of KCR.
The hoarding said: “”Maa Hyderabad nunchi mammalne vellamantavuraa… nee yabba; Hyderabad nee ammadaa, nee abbadaa; kodaka, uchcha poyisthaa.. (How dare you ask us to leave our Hyderabad? Does Hyderabad belong to your mother or father? I will make them piss on you..). Jai Samaikyandhra..”
That shows the kind of disgust the Seemandhra people have towards KCR. What is worse, in some other places, the agitators performed marriage between effigies of KCR and Sonia, saying Telangana baby was born to their illicit affair. And that is the height of hatred.
